Saturday 27th May was the second return, after Covid, of the much-enjoyed St George’s Quiz Night in aid of Friends of St George’s. The full gamut of emotion was experienced from joy to exasperation and back as teams tussled for supremacy in rounds including questions about Ordnance Survey symbols, music associated with colours, and advertising slogans.
Thank you, Sophie and Simon Leach and Jenny Click who set the questions, presented the quiz and scored, and Tillie and Tabitha, the Leach daughters, who helped their parents by collecting in answers. Also thanked is Barbara P for selling the tickets and keeping tempers in order.
