Saturday 27th May was the second return, after Covid, of the much-enjoyed St George’s Quiz Night

The Friends of St George’s have just given £20,000 to assist with the urgent repairs to St George’s iconic tower
The Friends of St George’s have decorated a library window to show St George’s support for the Jesmond Festival
Since establishing in 2008 the Friends has raised money towards two major projects:
- the restoration of St. George’s West Window
- Installation of new lighting in St George’s and cleaning of the interior
The Friends have contributed over £35,000 towards the costs to complete these projects but we need your help to continue the work we do supporting our Grade 1 listed church. Any donations are welecomed and appreciated
Meet our Trustees
Michael de la Hunt
I am a retired hospital healthcare worker and have lived in Jesmond for the last 35 years.
As a Friend of St George’s, I am committed to preserve and enhance these beautiful historic buildings, the Green and the valuable facilities they provide for the whole community
